It is our intention is to create update and supply the ultimate selection of rare and hard to obtain spirits of the world. The Rums, Tequila’s, Scotches, Whiskeys and Cognac’s listed are obtained mainly direct from the producers, however from time to time we need to call on the assistance from collectors and specialised dealer’s from all corners of the globe.

Not all spirits listed are in our warehouse at all times, and therefore you will be advised as too the estimated time of delivery when your order has been processed.

Due to the rare and sometimes expensive nature of our bottles, we do not provide accounts, but prefer to take payment via credit card or direct transfer into our Australian bank account. Details will be provided upon request or order.

RUMS

Fermented from sugar or molasses or other sugar industry by-products. Rum starts off clear; white rum remains so, while golden and dark rums gain colour from cask aging or added colouring. Rum tends to be a tropical product, made in sugar cane growing areas, with the Caribbean islands being particularly famous for their rum.

TEQUILAS

These brands have the unique taste and bouquet of the Agave plant, “The real stuff”. Go the extra mile to get a bottle. They are pricey but are worth it! These brands are better enjoyed when sipped at room temperature, although some people keep the bottle in a freezer.

TEQUILA BLANCO

Clear, fresh from the still tequila is called Blanco (white or silver). It has the true bouquet and flavour of the blue Agave. It is usually strong and is traditionally enjoyed in a "caballito" (2 oz small glass). This is the traditional tequila that started it all.

TEQUILA REPOSADO

Reposado or rested is Tequila Blanco that has been kept in white oak casks or vats called "pipones" for more than two months and up to one year. The oak barrels give Reposado a mellowed taste, pleasing bouquet, and its pale colour. Reposados keep the blue Agave taste and are gentler to the palate. These tequilas have experienced exponential demand and high prices.

Añejo

Añejo is Tequila Blanco aged in white oak casks for more than a year. Maximum capacity of the casks should not exceed 600 litres (159 gallons). The amber colour and woody flavour are picked up from the oak, and the oxidation that takes place through the porous wood develops the unique bouquet and taste. Some Añejos are aged for several years and enter into the big leagues of liquor both in taste and in price.

SCOTCH – Single Malt

A Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the product of one specific distillery and has not been mixed with whisky from any other distilleries. The greatest concentration of malt whisky distilleries can be found in the Speyside region of northeast Scotland, with Highland, Lowland and Islay being the other main malt whisky producing zones. Each of these regions has its own particular distinctive style of malt whisky and although it is not possible for two malts to be identical, even if the distilleries that produce them happen to stand side by side, it is usually possible to distinguish in which region of Scotland a particular whisky was made.
